On the edge of Winterswijk, on Vredenseweg, there are four group homes for people with dementia. It offers clients a safe living environment in a homely atmosphere. Six people live in one group. The focus is on the client's well-being. To give clients structure, they are actively involved in daily life in the group home. They do or help with laundry, ironing, shopping and cooking. All at a pace appropriate to the client's age. The homes are located near meadows and the Batavian mill.
The residences have a shared living room with open kitchen and two spacious shower facilities. Each client has a private sitting/bedroom.
Our solution in practice
Van Breda has applied its Albireo IP concept to its group homes. This is an extension of the already existing Albireo concept at the temporary accommodation of the Vredense Hof. An Albireo IP unit was installed in each bedroom and communal living room. The Albireo front door intercom system applied to 4 entrance doors.
A DECT system had already been installed at the temporary accommodation and is being reused in this project. Alarms are thus received on a DECT handset.
An access control system was also installed for access to the group homes.
