What will you do?

As a Product Specialist at Van Breda, you work closely with the R&D team to continuously improve product development and quality assurance. You are responsible for testing our software and network products, sharing your knowledge about new products within the organisation and offering technical advice. You also play an important role in our service organisation, acting as third-line support for complex technical issues.

What do we ask of you? 

Responsibilities:

• Product testing and quality assurance: Testing software and network hardware for functionality and performance.
• Knowledge transfer and training: Sharing knowledge and providing training to service and field engineers.
• Technical support: Answering sales enquiries and providing in-depth technical support.
• Product development support: Provide constructive feedback to the software development team.
• Data centre management: Managing our data centre and keeping the system around the knowledge matrix up to date.
• Trend analysis and product innovation: Keeping abreast of market developments and applying new knowledge to keep our products competitive.
• Quarterly release and reporting: Contribute to quarterly new product presentations.
• On-call services: Participate in the 3^e line pool of on-call services and ensuring support outside office hours when needed. You will also rotate in the 24/7 breakdown service several times a year.

We ask:

• MBO+ /HBO working and thinking level.
• Knowledge of server technologies, virtual machines and networking (up to layer 3).
• A CCNA certificate or equivalent network certification or you are willing to go for it.
• Basic knowledge of scripting (e.g. in PowerShell or Python).
• Basic knowledge and interest in Linux.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience working Agile (preferably with JIRA and Confluence).
• You live no more than 1 hour's travel from our office in Brummen.
